Laurie Hamon was a co-coordinator of the Mason Farm Butterfly Project from 2016 to 2017 and continues to conduct butterfly surveys as part of the Carolinas Butterfly Monitoring Project. Laurie is currently a Pollinator Biologist with the North Carolina Natural Heritage Program.
